Don’t they care? Don’t they care about us? No, why should they care about the common solder? The solder that bring their food, makes their bed, brings the drinks so they can celebrant their “handy work” when the day is over. They are our leaders. Our glorious leaders who are unsurprisingly living like the Tsar; they stay as far away as possible but close enough to show they care about us all while trying to live like the Tsar’s own father.
They make plans to attack the enemy where he is strongest just make sure they get home in time for tea and medals. While the common solder is fighting and certainly dying for his fellow comrades or proving that he’s worthy of someone’s love.
